So much fun and joy and swing, and the instrumentation allows for some super-fresh sounds as well as some old-timey goodness. And simply great tunes too! Giles

I never heard of Blue Cranes before last weekends Cuneiform Records' weekly deal dropped in and quickly added this one to the Bandcamp Friday shopping list (dedicating the favorite track to Joe and Kamala, hoping the band won't mind).
Their approach (not the instrumentation) remind me strongly of Rymden (the surviving e.s.t. members plus Bugge Wesseltoft), meaning that this is jazz that could easily be appreciated by a rock listener (with not too tight listening habits, mind you :-) ). Carsten Pieper

Love how Anne can go back and forth between piano and Fender Rhodes giving each song a different feeling, while playing with grace and eloquence. Saxophone and clarinet add a level of sophistication with just the right touch of drive with the drums. Loving Candy Dream and Le Retour Des Superheros so far as favorites. Rob O.
